|
|
| Ok, so I just upgraded to Windows 7. I left my XP installation in case things went sour. I have dozens of custom website searches with the favicons for the websites in my XP install. Is there anyway to move all that over to my 7 install? I really don't want to spend the hours it would take re-customizing Executor if I don't have to. |

Just copy your Executor.ini to the directory where you have it installed on Win 7. Or you can export the keywords to whatever file name you choose and then import them.
There is also another way with lets Executor download your settings from a server, which is what I personally use. |

| Cool. Thanks. I finally figured out to move the .ini file myself. The only downside is right now, I have about 20 favicons set to different tasks, and I just don't feel like resetting them just quite yet, I've had to leave their folder in the WinXp Documents folder. Maybe I'll do one or two a day. |

Some people put a folder with the icons in their Executor directory. I myself use the icons across several different apps so I keep them one level up in a "Portable Files" directory along with Executor and all my other portable files.
That way I can move it anywhere I want without having to mess around with everything across every application.
However, it would be nice if Executor created a ICL or other icon database. There is one program that actually does this and I am very impressed with the results. It's called ToolBox. Check the site out, there are some pretty cool apps there. |

| I've figured that I should have done it that way to begin with. But at the time, setting them all in "My Pictures" made sense. Then my brother goes out and gets me a copy of Win 7, so here I am. |
